About Mr.Selvakumar
Director and Founder : T Selvakumar
T Selvakumar is the Director and Founder of Audio Media, a pioneering institution in India’s field of music production, video film editing, visual effects, sound engineering, audio-video facilities consulting, and studio acoustics.
A Musician at Heart
Few are aware that Selvakumar is a trained musician. He pursued Carnatic Instrument ‘Veena’ at the Satguru Sangeet Vidyalya affiliated with Madurai Kamaraj University. Proficient in the Mridangam and Western classical Guitar, he achieved distinction in Chennai by playing Carnatic classical music on the Mandolin.
A Music Producer and Programmer
Selvakumar’s reputation as a Musician Programmer was solidified with the creation of fifteen albums of mesmerizing music for H.M.V.
Pioneer in Digital Recording
In 1993, Selvakumar established a Digital Recording Studio, marking the beginning of his musical journey. He subsequently ventured into product distribution for music technology in studios and successfully set up over 100 studios across the country. His expertise in Western classical and related genres greatly contributed to his success.
India’s First Certified Apple Trainer
Starting as a musician, Selvakumar made history in 2002 by becoming India’s first Certified Trainer for ‘Apple Pro-Application.’ This milestone led to the inception of Audio-Media Education. He also played a significant role as a Beta Software Tester for Apple Computers U.S.A for Final Cut Pro and Cinema Tools.
Innovator in Music Technology
Selvakumar developed ‘Indian Samples and Styles’ for Yamaha’s new Indian Keyboard PSR 1425 and created ‘Sample Sound’ libraries for ‘Sound Good’ from Sweden.
Collaboration with A R Rahman
Selvakumar collaborated with the renowned Oscar Winner A R Rahman for his dream project, KM Music Conservatory, serving as the CEO.
Photographic Expertise
Beyond music, Selvakumar is a professional photographer. He has captured cover and editorial photos for leading magazines in India and abroad.
